YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)

The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for developing and driving the marketing strategy for JC Hospitality. This role will lead marketing for an integrated resort and will serve as the senior executive over an internal agency, responsible for providing direction to several business partners while creating a consolidated business approach. This role will provide strategic leadership for the programs related to marketing, advertising, public relations, creative development, and database initiatives.

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)

The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for the overall marketing success of the integrated resort. Key accountabilities include:

  • Develop and lead an internal agency, to exceed expectations and deliver on the brand experience.
  • Strategize and execute marketing designs and activities to establish and strengthen brand presence in the market.
  • Define advertising standards, business development & operating strategies.
  • Define effective positioning in the market and develop road maps to achieve success.
  • Conduct competitive strategic analysis, guest segmentation, and guest insight
  • Develop and monitor budget and financial analysis for the marketing department.
  • Direct account management, project management, and internal and outside agency teams for creation, planning, and coordination of marketing activation, including advertising and media planning.
  • Develop a team of marketing professionals by hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating staff in order to ensure that the team members receive support, guidance, and resources needed to accomplish established objectives.
  • Collaborate with the partners on strategic vision and create an alignment of interest in market positioning.
  • Monitor and evaluate all department programs, events, and projects to ensure successful execution, leading to the achievement of department goals and company profitability.
  • Prepare operating budgets, monitor budgetary compliance, and take action on budget variances.
  • Represent property at any public gathering, as directed by management.
  • Provide direction and support to business partners on marketing objectives.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

  • Manage and supervise control systems
  • Create a strategy for preventing violations of legal rules and internal policies guidelines
  • Evaluate the efficiency of controls
  • Identify risks or non-conformity issues
  • Design, improve and implement productive and efficient company policies
  • Collaborate and maintain continuous communication with HR department
  • Improve current strategies if necessary
  • Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically
  • Supervise and oversee the work of colleagues
  • Identify compliance issues and necessary training
  • Create reports for senior management and external stakeholders
MUST HAVE'S

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of senior leadership experience in hospitality marketing or related field
  • In-depth expertise of Marketing Strategies
  • Advanced knowledge of the budgeting process, financial statements and basic accounting principles
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of press release writing techniques
  • Ability to effectively deal with the media
  • Ability to place media/advertising buys
  • Highly organized
WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE'S

  • Leadership experience in marketing, public relations, communications, or journalism
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
  • Prior experience leading a team or working in an agency environment
THE WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular working hours Monday -- Friday, 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM
  • Ability to work varied days and hours, based on business needs
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and business partners
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
