Commercial Plastics is currently seeking a Receiving Warehouse Materials Set-Up to join our diverse and talented team. We're looking for an individual that has a strong background in the manufacturing industry with a deep understanding of machine maintenance and repair. This position performs set-up of molds, and all related tasks in assigned manufacturing areas, as well as supporting other department functions as needed.

Key Accountabilities (results expected to achieve):

  • Meet or exceed company goals for safety, quality, cost and delivery

Key Responsibilities (tasks that you do to achieve the accountabilities):

  • Ensures company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded
  • Twice daily, run the Finished Goods report from Visual, verify the report with the Finished Goods location and correct accordingly as needed
  • Reports any inventory errors to Warehouse Lead and Inventory Controller
  • Ensure all trailers are properly chocked
  • Moves product from Finished Goods location into warehouse location
  • Pull production from presses and locate into warehouse inventory
  • Forklift certified to move pallets from production with the use of a standup high lift
  • Inspect all powered industrial vehicles per check sheets. Report any issues or repairs needed to supervisor/lead for MSO to be turned in
  • Pull finished and stage per pick list for next day shipping
  • Organize and arrange warehouse per molding schedule for production
  • Loads and unloads trucks as needed
  • Processes returnable packaging needed
  • Cleans and organizes work environment to comply with 5S and safety standards
  • Keeps all shelves and shipping and receiving area clean
  • Performs all other assignments as required

Qualities for Success:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Able to work overtime hours according to business need
  • Forklift certification (or ability to receive with company training)
  • Problem solver; able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary; sense of accountability and sound professional judgement
  • Experience managing projects
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and able to work with and direct others
  • Experience using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Able to lift 55 lbs up to shoulder height daily on an on-going basis without assistance
  • Able to lift 50 lbs above head occasionally
  • Push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis
  • Grip and hold parts and hand tools continuously (8 hours)
  • Use miscellaneous hand tools including manual, pneumatic, and powered
  • Ability to work with small parts down to a bolt size of ¼” in diameter
  • Good hand and wrist dexterity
  • Visually inspect all parts
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time

Work Environment:

This position is required to conduct business on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.
